People are cringing at this Irish sex-ed video’s weirdly suggestive turn
There probably wasn’t a sex education video available in the 1980s that wasn’t incredibly cringeworthy – maybe there still isn’t, but an Irish one spotted by David Baddiel must surely take the biscuit. And that is in no way a metaphor.
This Irish sex education video from the 1980s is a marvellous thing, particularly the ending. pic.twitter.com/hntNVRHUPF

The only redeeming feature of that ending is that they had the good grace to zoom in so that Irish Cilla wasn’t staring us right in the eye when she did that.
People had a range of reactions.
Please tell me that’s real?!?

Plot twist – you know how Twitter can find anything? Well, it found sex-ed lady’s granddaughter.
That’s my granny!! Not joking, that’s my actual granny

You promise promise promise you're not joking.

Promise promise! She’s still with us, living in Dublin. I’ll send you her best though she only has eyes for @richardosman (don’t think about that hand gesture Richard)

If you want to watch the entire video featuring Angela McNamara – or “Catherine’s granny”, as we prefer to call her – you both can and should. No sniggering at the back.
