easyJet crew’s Bohemian Rhapsody tribute goes viral

The crew of an easyJet flight have recorded an hilarious DIY version of Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody on a plane.

In the video, which has racked up over 70,000 views on Facebook, the crew members emulate the hit pop video by pressing the cabin lights in sequence as they take turns to sing.

Speaking to The Poke, Captain Trevor Clarke said; ‘On the turnaround I put on some music to entertain the crew and it happened to be Bohemian Rhapsody. A crew member switched on one the passenger lights on and started singing which was hilarious.”

The clip was recorded on the ground at Belfast International Airport on return from Faro, Portugal.

Flight attendant Dale Huston rather steals the show.

Huston said; “The video idea came about when we landed in Faro. The captain played music over the PA for us while we did our tidy. After the passengers had got off he put on Bohemian Rhapsody and came out of the flight deck and turned all the cabin lights out! I was in one of my rows and sat up, switched on a reading light and began to lip sync a verse. My inner drag queen just came out. All while engineers and cleaners watched from the door and galley.”

Another cabin crew member Rodger McLoughlin commented “That day was one of the best in my entire flying Career. The day was long and challenging but the crew kept a positive and light-hearted attitude the whole day.”

Captain Clarke said; “Never did I think of course that it would be so popular – the power of social media I guess?!!
