This Tesco expiry date query prompted the most bizarre customer care response you’ll ever see
This exchange must go down as the most bizarre and unexpected response to a customer care query ever.
It began when a chap called Matthew Stock sent a message to Tesco on Twitter to query the mysterious ‘best before’ date on the relish that came with his Tesco burgers.
If that’s tricky to read, the ‘best before’ date reads ‘21040’.
Tesco replied on Twitter and when we say it escalated from there, well, it really, really did.





And this is the bit marked ‘unexpected plot twist’.

Except Matthew, quite rightly, simply wasn’t letting this lie.
