People are loving Naga Munchetty’s shutdown of this Tory MP over those new NHS nurses
You’ll know by now this bewilderingly long-running ‘confusion’ over the Conservatives’ promise to recruit 50,000 more nurses.
Except they’re not 50,000 new nurses, as you might have heard, because the government’s maths includes 19,000 who simply aren’t leaving the NHS.
And it’s good they’re not leaving, it just doesn’t add up to 50,000.
Anyway, BBC Breakfast’s Naga Munchetty just isn’t taking any of this nonsense anymore and went viral on Twitter because people loved her for it.
Here she is talking to – Google, Google – Chief Secretary to the Treasury Rishi Sunak today.]

Boom.
Maybe it was health secretary Matt Hancock, appearing on BBC Breakfast earlier this week, that pushed her over the edge.

Well done Naga on @BBCBreakfast for actually getting Tories to answer a question instead of parroting the same jingo bullshit. He didn't say anything at all.

Funny to see the angry gammon crowd complaining about how Naga is "disrespectful"… Guys, you voted for a liar, misogynistic, homophobic, racist guy and everyone who got elected under him ran the same vile campaign.. And you're complaining about disrespect?? pic.twitter.com/G3tyKy6sb5

And just in case you were still wondering about those new nurses, Channel 4 did a fact check.
