My god-daughter had me biting the inside of my mouth to stop from laughing out loud in church when she said bit in the Lord's prayer about "deliver us from email". Can't say I disagree either. 😂

‘We Three Kings of Orient Are’
I could never understand why Orey and Tar were only 2 countries, but they had 3 Kings. What did the third one do?— Vintage_Maggie (@Vintage_Maggie) 12 December 2019

As a child I remember "there is a green hill far away without a city wall…
….who died to save the saw".
I always wondered "what saw? and why should it be saved?"A while later I worked out it was "save us all"…

When my niece was only a wee one she went around enthusiastically & earnestly singing Silent Night, with the misheard lyric, “Christ the demon is here…”
Brother wasn’t sure how to correct her as that would mean trying to explain what “redeemer” meant. 😂— Cary on and #ITMFA (@this1littlebird) 12 December 2019

Did you have the one about "The Angel Gabriel from Heaven came…" that ended up with "… most highly flavoured lady, Gloria"? Always made me wonder what flavour Gloria actually was, how he knew (had he licked her?) and why he was telling Mary about her.

Catholic school here, where a favourite prayer began "Hail Mary, full of grapes"…
— Pat Neville (@PatNiNiadh) 11 December 2019
One youngster had clearly been getting ahead of herself with this misheard prayer.
Part of the Hail Mary…. “pray for hussiness” – not sure where I got that word from! Sounds a bit dirty now! Should be “pray for us sinners” 😂😂🤷♀️

But Stephen knew where she was coming from.
I spent much of my teenage years praying for hussiness, I think!
