‘Very expensive handbags. I know that a nice sturdy bag especially in leather isn’t going to be cheap (especially if it’s not sweatshop made) but the high end prices just make me boggle.’

‘Designer pet clothes. My area is full of people who kit ‘Luna’ or ‘Rocky’ out with Burberry coats and Louis Vuitton leads or buying them Gucci bowls and beds. £300 on a thin piece of leather? Nope.’

‘As much as I love going to the pub, going and having a couple of beers just seems like such a waste of money now.

8/9 years ago when my standards were low and I would go to spoons for £1.99 pints, that was fine. But with prices of pints having skyrocketed and preferring to go to nicer (within reason) places, 3/4 pints might cost £25/30. Just not worth it and such a drain IMO.’

‘In game currency, whether it’s shards, coins, time, or gold. It’s just a way to increase your addiction to something designed to sap you of your money.’

‘Warhammer miniatures you’ll never get around to painting. Guilty as charged here…’

‘In my case, it’s my monthly gym subscription. I haven’t been all year. I know, I am worthless! I also can’t bring myself to cancel my subscription because my new-found motivation to go to gym before work might be about to kick in.

At this point I am just subsidising the gym goers who do actually make the effort and go in there. I’m also kidding myself but I really do aim to get fit. One day soon.’

‘First class plane tickets. The cost does not justify it. We’re going to the same place at the same speed.’

‘Those scammers that read your palms or tarot cards. It’s just a freaking scam, yet there are a lot of people who pay large amounts to them.’

‘Designer shoes for babies. Those mini Converse, Doc Martens etc. They’re never going to touch the ground and won’t even fit in six weeks.’

‘People spending £5 on a coffee every day, madness.’
