‘Storage lockers. I know it doesn’t necessarily ‘ruin’ people. But it’s just throwing money away, IMO. I realise it’s helpful for a few months while in the process of moving or whatever. But long term? If you don’t need or use the stuff you have stored away, why do you hold onto it?’

‘Honestly the thing thats helped me the most is tracking my every expenditure. It’s tedious but you need to make an excel spreadsheet with categories (ex: food) and subcategories (ex: drinks, take out, restaurant, grocery) and legit track where your money is going.

‘Also important to add any investments and paychecks into this too. Over time you’ll see it start to balance and it’s very satisfying. But most importantly, it’ll help you see where you’re just being ridiculous and can easily cut down.’
