This public bathroom only has a baby changing station in the women’s and the parents in the comments aren’t having it

I’ve actually set up a pretty great diaper station in the back of my minivan that’s usually far easier for me to use anyway, BUT…

If you tell me I can’t use the changing station in the women’s room because there isn’t one in the men’s, I’ll be using a table or booth to make a point.

I had to change my son in the car once in the parking lot of a NJ Turnpike rest area and he ended up shitting all over the car. There really should be a law that both restrooms need to have changing tables.

Yeah, iv had to do this multiple times as a dad with two little girls. So far there has never been a problem, and almost all the women have been nothing but extremely understanding and helpful for which I’m extremely grateful for. I hope it stay that way, but it really sucks thats what its had to come down to for father’s.

“Does it cost more than $0?”

“Yes.”

“No fucking way we do that if we are not forced to.”

Thank you for attending my TED-Talk about the subject: Why an unregulated market will always fail the society.

I think part of the problem is that companies make bathrooms as tiny as possible to save money. I’ve worked at several places that had 3 stalls for the women’s room and 1 stall / 1 urinal for the men’s. They make the men’s room a tiny shoebox and leave no room for anything extra. I hate it.

Yeah, I have been barked at for using the family change room with my kids. I just told her to mind her own business.

I have also been caught out when my then 3 year old daughter made a dash into the Ladies, oblivious to my inability to follow. A lovely lady helped out, but it could have gone badly.

Dads want to parent too.

We have changing tables in men’s, women’s, and single-occupant ADA bathrooms, and people STILL change their babies on surfaces that people eat on.

Yeah fuck that. If I need to change my daughter’s diaper I have no problem going into the women’s restroom if there isn’t a changing table in the men’s. As long as you aren’t being a creep most women won’t really care when you’re obviously only in there to change your child’s diaper.
