‘Subscriptions that basically trick you into subscribing with free subscriptions then make it hard to unsubscribe. It’s just fraud. No where else are you allowed to design contracts that intentionally try to trick people into paying for a service they don’t want.’

‘The current student loan structure. It’s ridiculous and designed to make people fail. The current mortgage structure- you pay the majority of the interest up front. Interest that had not yet accrued.’

‘Dynamic pricing for music events.
We’ve allowed the absolute bliss of waiting in line all night to score tickets to shows to be stolen from us by rich people.
I stood in line for 5 hours in 1996 to score Tool tickets for $18 and felt like an absolute BOSS the next day! The spoiled rich kids who were too good to wait in line simply didn’t get to go because it sold out in minutes. This was not only fair, it meant that 90% of the people at the show were true fans who stood in line for hours to get tickets.
Today I’d guess that “true fan” percentage is more like 30%.
Sure… Scalping was still a thing, but nothing like it is now.
I ain’t paying $500 to see ANYONE, yet top draws like Morgan Wallen and others play shows where almost EVERY TICKET costs that much.
F that.’
