‘Asking someone to follow the rules of the swimming pool. They are posted on the wall, at the end of the lane we were in, in large letters. They stormed off!’

‘My best friend of 20 years asked me to go through old photos and put them on fb so she could see them.

I put up 10 photos where I thought she looked really good. A lot of our pictures were from going out in groups of other people. I had a handful of very close guy friends that were in some of the pictures.

She lost it on me. She was engaged at the time and apparently her fiance blew up and accused her of cheating bc of these pictures that were taken years before they’d met. He had his whole family involved accusing her of cheating. She accused me of purposely trying to sabotage her relationship.

I apologized to her a few times but she’d still periodically call me up just to scream at me. She uninvited me from the wedding (I was relieved to not have to go be around people who violently hated me). We haven’t spoken in years, they divorced a couple years after the wedding to the surprise of not me. Just glad I was out of the picture and couldn’t be blamed for whatever caused their divorce.’

‘Left the gas cap at the gas station after filling up my boyfriend’s car for the new week. Supposed to be a nice surprise. He was livid! It was a Toyota Camry y’all. We broke up 16 years later.’

‘I once asked a friend if I could water her plant. I said this as I touched it and noticed it was dry. Not like, sarcastic or anything. Just a genuine question.

She screamed, slammed doors, and I just left her house. It essentially ended our friendship.’

‘When I was about 5 years old I wrote my teacher’s name along the “this book belongs to” line in a fiction book that belonged to the classroom. The teaching assistant found out and got extremely angry – I was sent to the next door classroom which had a notoriously scary teacher who made me sit on a sad face chair facing the wall whilst he taught his class. I was so scared to admit it to my parents but looking back they were just pieces of shit tbh’

‘First year of marriage (divorced now), she made brownies. We were heading out the door and she suggested I grab us each a piece for the drive. I inadvertently gave her an edge piece and took the middle. Truly did not even think about it. She yelled at me for the entire car trip. Told me how inconsiderate and fake I was and that I only ever pretended to put her first.

I felt so guilty. I had not even taken a bite and offered repeatedly to switch which she said would not fix the situation and that I was still a rude and selfish man.’
