You don’t have to like Rod Stewart to appreciate him congratulating the King on putting ‘little rat bag’ Trump in his place – 17 cheers to the rafters

In case you missed the memo, or more probably didn’t care about the memo, the Prince’s Trust charity is now the King’s Trust – for obvious reasons – and it’s just celebrated its 50th anniversary with a fundraising gala evening.

Congratulations to The King’s Trust on a wonderful celebration at the Royal Albert Hall last night.

The young people receiving Awards were truly inspiring and spoke so beautifully about the confidence and support the Trust has given them.

Stars in attendance to support the achievement included George and Amal Clooney, Joan Armatrading, Ant & Dec, and Rita Ora. One guest, Sir Rod Stewart, was undiplomatically frank in his praise of Charles and Camilla’s recent visit to the US.

We couldn’t help noticing that the King seemed to agree. Whatever you think of the Farage-supporting Stewart, his assessment of the US President seemed to be on the money.
