Donald ’34 felonies’ Trump claimed that religious people commit less crime because they want to go to heaven, and the irony was visible from space – 19 biblical takedowns
We regret to inform you that Donald Trump has been wanging on about his ballroom again.
The president summoned journalists to the site of the ballroom/military bunker for which he wants US taxpayers to fork out at least a billion dollars. He kept them there for around 45 minutes, which must be at least 12 hours in ‘listening to Trump’ time.
He touched on various topics as well as the construction project, including how slim he is(!), the Reflecting Pool, and how little he cares about gas prices.
Trump also gave this potted argument in favour of religion.
Trump: "When you have strong religion, you have less crime. It's like, 'Gee, I want to go to heaven, so I'm not going to do this or that.' Who knows." pic.twitter.com/dCwYRoJ4eB

Where’s that honorary doctorate of divinity? At almost the second anniversary of Trump’s 34 convictions for falsifying documents, the irony wasn’t lost on anyone.

So the only reason to not commit crime is that you want to go to Heaven? How about just not wanting to commit crime because you know it's wrong?

The victims of the crimes and destruction around the world that have been done in the name of strong religion would like to have a word. But they can’t, because they’re dead. https://t.co/blJtXf06gG

Trump doesn’t understand why people wouldn’t do crime… unless there’s something in it for them. https://t.co/Wu74mbNzL2
