Boris Johnson vs Jeremy Corbyn: ‘I’d rather vote for a mugwump than a smugc…’
Boris Johnson called Jeremy Corbyn a “mutton-headed old mugwump” and it’s been trending on Twitter ever since.
Here’s the so-called foreign secretary being asked about the phrase, which he first used in a column in the Sun, on Radio 4’s Today programme this morning.
#Mugwump – You've been hearing it all morning…but what exactly does it mean? #r4today pic.twitter.com/0KlrTB49BB

The Oxford English Dictionary defines a mugwump as someone who remains aloof or independent, especially politically.
But it’s not it’s only meaning. Here’s what Twitter made of it today.

So Boris Johnson just called Corbyn a #mugwump as some kind of insult. Origin of the word – Great Chief
Boris Johnson – Moron.
