Russell Crowe agrees with Liam Neeson – his horse remembered him too
Liam Neeson’s been making headlines – you’ve probably seen one or two – after he suggested a horse he worked with remembered him from a previous movie.
Not one the horse saw at the cinema, mind.
Here’s what Neeson said.
And apart from all these funny responses, this guy responded too.
This is absolutely true . There’s a horse George who I gave the speech in the forest in Gladiator on. Years later he was on the set of Robin Hood and we would have a chat everyday.
Same with the white horse Rusty in Robin Hood we chatted again on Les Mis. Lifelong friends. https://t.co/LqUxyfAymK— Russell Crowe (@russellcrowe) October 9, 2018
And these are some of our favourite replies.
Look, Ted Danson made a film with Whoopi Goldberg and an elephant in the 1990s and that same elephant remembered him on the set of The Good Place last year so you and Liam Neeson can both get out of here with your horse stories because you can’t top that. https://t.co/ng9GkajYHn

“But that horse in 3:10 to Yuma? Fuck that horse. Owed me $20 and haven’t seen him since.” https://t.co/014oIT8RCN

You used to chat to me but now you don’t. Wish I was a horse now.

You are a horse Jase. Or, half a horse at least .
Hope you are doing great.— Russell Crowe (@russellcrowe) October 9, 2018
Hope you and other actors can buy your equine friend and retire him to gentle pastures .

You know Rose, I’ve fallen in love with most of the horses I’ve ever worked with. It takes a certain temperament to be a great movie horse, but believe me they know when it’s show time and that they are in show biz. The best Horse Masters value their contribution beyond money.

What about them tigers? Were they even real or CGI?
— Chris Macheras (@chrismacheras) October 9, 2018
Absolutely real. In the arena with us every day .
There is some movie magic though .
Ridley brought them closer to us in the edit , and the one I stab is a big furry stuffed animal .— Russell Crowe (@russellcrowe) October 9, 2018
Great story https://t.co/G4GY1j3hEW
