14 St Valentine’s Day fails to make you feel better about your bad dates
St. Valentine’s Day comes with a set of expectations of good food, gifts and romance, but it rarely turns out as perfectly as the adverts and films would have us believe. When comedian and talk show host, Ellen DeGeneres, asked her followers to share their bad Valentine’s Day stories, the replies were a lot more disaster flick than rom-com.

A lot of them revolved around food fails.

One year we were staying at a hotel & both got food poisoning. We had to play Rock – TP – Scissors to see who got to use the toilet. #Failentines #ValentinesDay

Cooking the hubs a romantic dinner…steaks on the grill and sautéed scallops..caught the grill on fire burnt the steaks and while I’m putting out THAT fire, I burned the scallops ended up eating pizza♀️

for our first married Valentine’s Day, my husband tried to be sweet and make breakfast for me.. he went to make the shakeable pancakes and didn’t screw the lid all the way on.. so we spent the day cleaning pancake mix off of everything in our apartment. ❤️ #Failentines

Husband bought roses at the train station after work. Proudly presented them to me. I say oh stems, my favorite. What??All the rosebuds had fallen off as he held them upside down on the walk home-he never noticed. Literally rolled on the floor laughing. Best VDay gift ever.
