This wonderful use of a public piano will warm your chilly heart
Just when it feels as though the world is nothing but fire and knives, along comes a clip of a real-life incident that proves there’s still some kindness and beauty to cling onto. In this case, a video shared by actor Matthew Rowland, who is currently on tour with the musical, Cats, shows fellow cast member, Ceili O’Connor, singing along to an older gentleman’s expert performance of Somewhere Over the Rainbow.
We’re on our way to Brussels for the next leg of @CatsMusical tour. I saw this guy playing and called @CeiliOConnor as I knew he needed a singing partner. Captured a bit of the magic here. He was so sweet, saying Ceili “made his day” and that she must be “in a show”. Precious x pic.twitter.com/Lx8oNfkO0b

And, just in case you were thinking of being a killjoy …
And by the way, if you think this is sentimental nonsense, you can fuck off. https://t.co/Ui3hnvCORc
