How a bad Star Trek series led to the Obama presidency is blowing people’s minds
In the AskReddit forum, someone posed the question “What are the most interesting domino effects in history?” and there were plenty of submissions that deserved their place. For example, ten thousand people were killed because someone mooned, which is one of those “that escalated quickly” moments from history.
Redditor IAmNotScottBakula shared this domino effect.
That takes six degrees of separation to new heights. One wit posted this reply:
Artist Lee Binding spotted it, and it blew his mind.

To all the sneering twits who say it's wrong that "Voyager" is my favorite #StarTrek series, I say SUCK ON THIS!#YesWeCan https://t.co/mKsNso3BMh

Someone called @periferien_ pointed out an extra domino in the rally.
But it gets worse: The election of Obama made Trump start with his birther nonsense which made Obama make fun of him with Trump in the audience. This probably led to Trump running for president.
In other words, lackluster Star Trek writing led to the Trump presidency
