Mike Pence’s accidental innuendo brought the internet to its knees (NSFW) – 13 comebacks
Under Donald Trump, you could be forgiven for thinking that the “vice” part of Vice President meant something other than “deputy”, but Mike Pence is a full-on bible-thumping Christian, although he’d never thump a bible, because …respect, right? With a lot of arguing going on about the efficacy of thoughts and prayers in a gun crisis, Pence stepped in with his hot take on how to cope with the criticisms of modern society.
In an on-brand address to the anti-LGBT group, Alliance Defending Freedom, he urged them to pray more, saying:
“Spend more time on your knees than on the internet.”
He can’t have been too happy that the Twitter community decided to interpret his call to prayer in a more NSFW way, some of it very NSFW. You have been warned.

Uh, Mr. Pence, isn't what you do on your knees something you also have called un-Christian in the past?

There was another, more political interpretation of his comment, when some people brought up the topic of the NFL footballers’ protest, in which they “took the knee” during the national anthem at matches, in protest at police brutality against the black community.

We shouldn’t be surprised at his “oo-er, missus” moment, considering his form on accidental innuendo.
