Swedish beard enthusiasts mistaken for ISIS members
A group of Swedish beard lovers were mistaken for 30 terrorists waving an ISIS flag during a photo shoot, reports Mashable.
Police were called to the ruins of a castle in Småland, Sweden, when locals mistook the gathering of Bearded Villains, a self-described “brotherhood of elite bearded men from all over the world” as something more sinister.
Andreas Fransson, a Bearded Villains member and founder of Ratemybeard.se, told The Independent: “After about an hour the police showed up. They told us they got a call from someone driving past on the highway, saying that there were Isis terrorists at the ruins.
“The police saw of course that we weren’t terrorists, just very happy and nice bearded gentlemen.”
