Yes. One is SINGHBURY’S and the other is SAINSBURY’S. Wow!

So this new shop has opened in Aylesbury and the owner’s are adamant that it’s nothing to do with Sainsbury’s!

“All of our customers have been very happy with the new look, and some have come and had their pictures taken with the sign”, Inderjit Singh Nagpal and Manmeed Singh Bhatia told the Bucks Herald.

“The first part of the name is Singh, for our names, and the second is bury for Aylesbury.

“We used the colour orange because that is the colour of our Sikh religion.

“We saw that it’s on Facebook, and are a little bit worried about Sainsbury’s, but people have had similar signs before, and we have three good reasons for the name and colour.”

How long will ‘Singhbury’s Local’ last in Aylesbury before Sainsbury’s shut it down?

We reached out to Sainsbury’s for their comment and we’re still waiting for it, but Gemma on the phone did say she’d get back to us.
