People are saying this “pink globe” is sexist and have lots of opinions about it

This pink globe caught our attention and it’s been picking up loads of traffic on Twitter.

Lots of people calling it sexist:

‘”Yes yes but how will the globe appeal to girls? It’s mainly blue, which is the colour reserved for boys.” “Boss, I think I have something”‘ writes @Mrmoth.

“The girl globe is pink because the oceans are filled with the blood of thousands of sexist men” notes @Mckellogs.

“Planet Earth is pink, and there’s no lower we can sink” notes @Jeroendstout.

But interestingly some are saying that nowhere on the globe does it say it’s for girls:

So er.. Probably not sexist and a traditional storm in an internet teacup.
