People love the way Doug Jones’ gay son is staring at Mike Pence
Talk about a hard stare. People love the way newly-elected Doug Jones’ son Carson Jones stares at vice president Mike Pence while his father is sworn into the Senate.
Carson Jones confirmed he was gay last month, shortly after his father beat Roy Moore in the hotly-contested Alabama election, and Mike Pence is most politely described as having ‘politics that reflect those of a homophobe’.

Pence, a conservative Christian, has reportedly said that being gay is choice and that barring gays and lesbian marriage was ‘God’s idea’ not discrimination.
Eleven years ago he also supported a constitutional amendment defining marriage as between a man and a woman, and said that “societal collapse was always brought about following an advent of the deterioration of marriage and family”.
