Amazon launched a ‘queue free’ concept store and this is what it looked like
The great thing about Amazon’s new high concept store, Amazon Go, is that it doesn’t have any queues.
It’s all about a bother-free shopping ‘experience’ with no lines or checkouts in which customers can ‘simply take what they want and go’ thanks to ‘the world’s most advanced shopping technology’.
And here it is in practice, ladies and gents, after the first store opened its doors in Seattle after a year of intensives testing.
I’m in Seattle and there is currently a line to shop at the grocery store whose entire premise is that you won’t have to wait in line. pic.twitter.com/fWr80A0ZPV

Truly a shopping revolution!

a Platinum Prime Membership in the making

I thought that membership involved a drone delivering the groceries?
— Tim Anderson (@RealTimShady42) January 22, 2018
No no, you've confused that with the Rhodium Prime Membership. You still have to walk on two legs like a peasant with the Platinum.

Except some people pointed this out, so maybe we are being a bit unfair to the world’s richest man and his funny shop.
It’s called wanting to see how something new works…. I would wait in line as well, just to get a feel for how it works and if it is actually cool or not

It’s amazing how many people in here are against technology…. it’s coming, you either adapt or become obsolete… that’s nature
— Nik Lentz (@NikLentz) January 22, 2018
No one is against technology – it is the waiting in a long line to test out a process meant to keep you from waiting in line.

What’s good about Amazon Go is that because there are no people there you don’t have to queue pic.twitter.com/4YWlgf17vP
