Someone replied to this conspiracy theorist and their conversation will have you facepalming into next week
Someone took the time to respond to this person who claimed this was a picture of a young Angela Merkel next to Adolf Hitler.
They posted the exchange on Twitter and it’ll have you facepalming into next week. Or just shouting at your screen. Maybe both.

2.
3.
Here’s the person who posted the exchange.
This is not so much a conversation as a surrealist art installation.

And here are some of the replies.
I just can’t. I don’t even know what to say. ‘Hilter was just wandering around the German countryside in the late 50s in full Nazi uniform’ was a particular highlight

Please tell me this was a scripted comedy sketch?

Perhaps we could start an installation with some of the worst of these written up on the walls. When seen altogether they will appear as part of the pattern they are & will be a signpost of what to be wary of. Could start with vague conspiracy theories which then progress to this

Not everyone thought it was a good idea though.
You got played by a 4chan shit poster who got algorithm points for engagement with a high profile account 😉

You reckon, Mike? You reckon the thought she’s a troll never occurred to me?

You think that faithfully playing the part of a pearl-clutching liberal in a Nazi comedy stunt – then waving the completed work around for everyone else to see – is wise use of your Twitter account?
— Mike Hind (@MikeH_PR) June 24, 2018
I think the use of my Twitter account is entirely up to me, much as yours is up to you.
