When Zac Goldsmith said he was a Bollywood fan and the follow-up question was gold
Inspired by Jeremy Hunt’s unfortunate Chinese/Japanese mix-up, someone was inspired to share this on Twitter and it’s a very satisfying watch.
It’s occasional Tory MP and former London mayoral candidate Zac Goldsmith revealing exactly how much he really, really loves Bollywood.
Jeremy Hunt's horrific attempt to instrumentalise his wife's ethnicity for political gains reminded me a bit of the moment Zac Goldsmith said "I'm a Bollywood fan" and then failed to name a single actor or film. pic.twitter.com/lDsGWyDY7W

Don’t think the interviewer was even trying to catch him out, it just happened.
‘I’m a Bollywood fan, anything with a Bollywood theme I will lap it up.’
‘You say you’re a Bollywood fan, do you have a favourite actor or a favourite film?’
‘No, you’re going to … I wouldn’t be able to … let me think … no I’m not going to give you one, I can’t think of a favourite.
‘You can’t think of a single Bollywood film or actor?’
‘I can think of … I can’t think of a favourite. I love almost everything about Bollywood, the atmosphere, the colour, the excitement.’
Right. Reminded us of the time Tom Cruise was asked about his favourite movie.
