South Yorkshire police issued this picture of a suspect and people can’t work out if it’s a joke or not
Possibly because they were jealous of the amount of attention their Blackpool colleagues were getting with their David Schwimmer lookalike, South Yorkshire police did this.
Do you know this man? Police want to speak to him after an attempted robbery at a Barnsley off-licence: https://t.co/R0QsCAmA0w pic.twitter.com/ms7JD6lF0X

And there was something about the picture – you may have spotted it – that made people wonder if it was a joke or not.

It happened at an off-licence on Station Road in Royston on 21 September when a bearded man went into the shop and talked to the shopkeeper, implying he was going to buy something.
He then threatened the shopkeeper with a knife and demanded money but the man ended up leaving empty-handed. South Yorkshire Police say the shopkeeper was understandably “left distressed”.
