The death stare of this Tory minister humiliated by a Commons committee will chill your bones
It didn’t go too well for immigration minister Caroline Nokes when she was challenged at a Commons committee over her failure to check whether asylum seeker families were living in rat-infested accommodation.
Nokes told the committee chair Yvette Cooper that “telepathy is not my first skill” to which Cooper replied, later in their exchange …
“To be honest, minister, you didn’t need telepathy all you needed was a telephone in order to be able to find this information.”
And this is what happened next (readers of a nervous disposition, look away now).
This exchange between Yvette Cooper and Caroline Nokes at the home affairs committee is quite something – that death stare! pic.twitter.com/CgtiakZ5dv

And there’s a longer version of their exchange here.

Terrified.
Not a flicker of emotion. Not a semblance of regret. Not a recognition of effect. Not a sign of embarrassment. Tories. Not a care in the world.

I find her really scary. Nasty individual.
