Boris Johnson’s sick of Brexiteers being labelled ‘far right’ and these are the only 9 replies you need
Boris Johnson’s not happy. Specifically, he’s not happy because people keep assuming that Brexiteers are also, you know, far right and all that.
I am getting sick of the constant suggestion that anyone who sticks up for Brexit must have far right tendencies https://t.co/RzT8r1o01I

Fortunately for all concerned the entirety of Johnson’s article is behind a paywall – no, us neither – but this appears to be the gist of it.
‘I can’t understand why people are suddenly claiming that anyone who wants to get out of the EU – and follow the instructions of the British people – is a zealot, or an extremist, or Ukip, or Blukip, or some kind of ultra-conservative bigot. Where is this stuff coming from?’
Fortunately there were lots of people around who were only too able and willing to provide him with some answers.

Boris, if you are worried about being accused of having far right tendencies, maybe stop taking advice from far right fascist Steve Bannon and then writing columns mocking Muslim women? Just a thought. https://t.co/pzZMjq1SvH

Friend of Steve Bannon who called Africans “piccaninnies” and compared Muslim women in burkas to letterboxes is concerned people think he might have “far right tendencies.” Can anyone help @BorisJohnson ? https://t.co/hvCeE1G3IM

Man who listens to Steve Bannon, stoked xenophobia and admires Donald Trump furious he may be seen as having far right tendencies. https://t.co/NIRGoPX2Ur

Given that everyone knows that elements of the Hard Left also support Brexit, and that Brexit voters spanned all political parties, you are clearly just looking to fuel the narrative that remainers think all Brexiteers are nazis. Your gutter politics must make you so very proud.

Boris Johnson, who called African children picaninies, people in Papua New Guinea cannibals, Barack Obama “part-Kenyan” with an ”ancestral dislike of the British empire”, and takes advice from far-right electoral scammer Steve Bannon, is upset about people being called far-right https://t.co/A0WaqyaZq7

Well you see now the problem is that the far right ARE all rabid Brexiteers. And Boris, they really love you. Can't imagine why. May be something to do with those comments on Muslim women and Burkas, and hanging out with Steve Bannon. But you go right ahead and claim victimhood. https://t.co/vqmPOBiHE0

Not all who 'stick up for Brexit' have far right tendencies – but all with far right tendencies do…..
Anyway, how'd the meetings go with white supremacist, and unofficial hard right Tory aide Steve Bannon?
And Alexander Nix? He's had it tough lately:https://t.co/hZUv21uTNl

I am getting sick of the constant suggestion that anyone who tries to stop the out-and-out disaster that is Brexit must be an unpatriotic traitor, a saboteur, and an enemy of the people. Think on that rhetoric a while, and perhaps you'll find the truth behind your own complaint.
