Jacob Rees-Mogg tweeted about voting Tory and got the replies he deserved – 11 spoilt ballots
The UK local elections on the 2nd of May are something of a poor relation to the probable European elections on the 23rd, but they still matter and it seems from the online chatter that many people intend to use them as a mini-referendum on Brexit.
As a member of a party that’s been very much at the heart of the chaos surrounding Brexit, that may be worrying Jacob Rees-Mogg, which is probably why he tweeted this:
Please don't let Brexit put you off voting Conservative in the Local Elections on Thursday. https://t.co/vVeUFjfPJq
— Jacob Rees-Mogg (@Jacob_Rees_Mogg) April 29, 2019
He may as well have bent over and hung a “Kick me!” sign on his backside, because that’s what happened – figuratively speaking.

Yes, please vote for the party that has more than doubled UK debt, run down & sold off our NHS, wasted 3 years on an international Brexit humiliation, brought our public services & schools to their knees, thinks Chris Grayling, who has lost £2.6 billion of our money, is competent https://t.co/g25J9NCtFt

Quite right. Be far more put off voting Tory by things like *checks notes*: child poverty, underfunded education, ditto NHS & police, UC, unaffordable housing, homelessness, high suicide rates, foodbanks, benefit related deaths and the all the other shambolic shithousery. https://t.co/809DAAHOIL

Finally, SheRa Marley-Threepwood had a message for Jacob Rees-Mogg.
Don't beg. It's unbecoming https://t.co/iNnMs0Xlz6
