Someone posted a bogus one-star review and got called out in the best way
In the age of online reviews, companies have to keep an eye on what people are saying about them. Partly to learn lessons and improve their service, but also so they can call out bullshit in spectacular fashion.
One company did a little sleuthing when someone called “Sarah” gave them an awful write-up, and it turned out she’d left an interesting trail.
This was the one-star review Sarah left for the company.
And here’s their white-hot response.
The exchange was posted to a subreddit called r/quityourbullshit, which is definitely the right place.

If you are going to post fake reviews for stuff at least make it funny.
Instead of Hollandaise sauce, owner put maple syrup on my eggs Benedict. He called them Eggs Diabetes. 4 stars

I run a free website offering an automated service that other websites sell for £5 – £10 a go.
I see fake reviews / posts about my FREE site telling me how I ripped them off, or how they donated me money for the free service and that I’m chasing them for more money etc.
It’s literally just angry competitors.

My previous GP (primary care physician for those in the US) did Botox, also and someone who was friends with a rival clinic did this to him. It cost him a lot of money to pay a lawyer to have it taken down. People are cheaty assholes

Redditor AcidRose27 had a story about another review scammer.
There’s some racist guy in my area who reviews all the Indian restaurants with 1 star reviews and comments that they (all, amazingly) told him they don’t serve white people. Which is weird because I glow in the dark and they’ll all been warm and welcoming when I go. Some people are just garbage and have far too much free time.
That just about says it all.
