Stormzy wore his slippers to a TV interview because he was half-asleep and it’s relatable, very relatable
Stormzy got lots of people talking when he performed at Glastonbury in that Banksy-designed Union Flag stab vest.
But it was nothing compared to what he was wearing when he turned up to BBC Breakfast today. His slippers.
.@Stormzy wearing his slippers on @BBCBreakfast because he was half asleep when he got in the cab is the most relatable pop star moment of all time. pic.twitter.com/nf4qPpy2oo

This is what he had to say.
‘I forgot, I’m an idiot. It sounds mad. I did a signing in Bristol and I’ve got a signing tonight. I just stay in my slippers and I got in the car and I’m, ahhh, I ain’t got my trainers, so …’
And it’s fair to say people loved him for it. They really loved him for it, including this chap from Radio 1.
This is brilliantly ‘first week back after Christmas’ from @stormzy isn’t it. pic.twitter.com/7qsz4zMs88

Lovely to have @stormzy on the #BBCBreakfast sofa this morning. Loads to say and he said it all in his slippers 👏🏻😂 pic.twitter.com/JPkSGy2Xw2

if I was as famous or as rich as @stormzy I’d just live in slippers and pyjamas and move around in a motorised bed and do all my press while eating toast and mainlining tea https://t.co/vGE3Sl9dhq

And when Stormzy said he liked to do signings in slippers, he wasn’t kidding.
