Turns out some people put butter on their Weetabix and the internet is appalled
You may or may not enjoy Weetabix as your breakfast cereal of choice – free world and all that – but chances are if you do have Weetabix, you surely don’t do this with it?
Jeremy Vine’s Radio 2 producer Tim Johns was moved to take to Twitter after a listener told him she likes hers with butter on top. Of her Weetabix.
I just spoke to a listener who told me for breakfast she eats Weetabix with butter on. No milk. She said quite a few people do this.
SURELY NOT?— Tim Johns (@timoncheese) February 5, 2020
And it turned out she wasn’t alone either.
You’ve just brought back a childhood memory I’d completely forgotten!

Quite possibly the worst thing I’ve ever read. Say it’s not true… https://t.co/J59is2soPg

I don't know if this is specifically a northern thing but I thing it might be, my mum would give me buttered weetabix as a kid (well Flora actually because it was the 90s)

I'm so sorry for what you've been through

As a kid, for a snack, Mum would give me buttered Weetabix with jam on it. I also love butter in Rich Tea biscuits

And this chap you might have heard of did something similar.
Hell, I used to eat Ovaltine Rusks with horseradish sauce spread on them. Till I was at least 18. I’m in no position to judge… damn, now that you’ve reminded me – I wonder if they still make Ovaltine rusks…

Then Weetabix got involved as well.
We may be partly to blame here Tim… we have been hashtagging #AnyWhichWayABix for the best part of a month now…

The horror.
