This ‘concerned’ citizen’s fire engine complaint is this week’s most outrageously entitled thing

Most outrageously entitled person of the week is surely this, a ‘concerned citizen’ who wasn’t happy about having fire engines drive close to their home.

Especially when they’re asleep because the sirens wake them up.

The letter went viral after it was shared on Reddit and, well, best have a read for yourself

And just in case that’s tricky to read …

‘To whom it may concern or whoever is driving the fire truck for practice non-emergency runs through the hours of 10pm – 9am nightly

‘I would kindly ask you to stop! You are disturbing and waking people in the neighbourhoods off of Leadmine Road.

‘I personally live on Longwood Drive which is directly off Leadmine Road … Your station fire truck wakes me every night in the AM hours with the extremely loud siren; you are disturbing the peace and creating sleep disorder!

‘It appears to me this is some sort of compulsion or obsession of the driver, since it happens every night around the same time, I have documented this! Leadmine Road is purely residential!

‘There are alternative routes such as Creedmoor Road to take for emergency assistance. I am bringing this to your attention in order for me not to escalate this to your superiors or take legal action …’

That sound you can here is the internet hollering into next week (the bit about legal action was the icing on the cake).

Let’s hope the firefighters remember to take the long way round should they ever have need to dial 999 (or 911).
