The Airplane! makers’ fabulous final word on OJ Simpson was very well played
As no-one anywhere needs telling anymore, OJ Simpson has died aged 76.
Apart from playing American football and being controversially acquitted of murder (later found liable in a civil suit) he was also an actor in films such as Airplane! and The Naked Gun, made by Jim Abraham and brothers David and Jerry Zucker.
And his death sent this excerpt from their book about the making of Airplane!, Surely You Can’t Be Serious, and it as final words go it was very well played.
