One time both of my BEST FUCKING FRIENDS tried to take me to a tea party. I’ve never once drank hot tea around them nor ordered it nor talked about it nor desired it.

In fact I hate hot tea. And they know this. I said that when we pulled up and they both had a “omg she hates tea that’s right” moment between each other.

When I was married, my then husband gave me an outfit for my birthday from a fairly expensive store, but it wasn’t my style at all (usually, he did really well picking outfits for me). Since it didn’t fit me and I didn’t like it, I returned it. As I’m shopping for something else, the sales gal greeted me and was talking about the “beautiful outfit” my MIL had bought for me the day before. Not only my ex lie and did not shop for me, his mom made sure to pick something that was not me at all.

An aunt gave my daughter an nfl team blanket when she was 8. She didnt watch football or even know any teams and this team was 1,500 miles away!!! Oddest gift ever.
