Nigel Farage said he didn’t have time for any more questions from Congress and the American politician who brutally owned him had the magnificent final word
There’s only one person we’re interested in hearing about today and that’s the esteemed Democratic congressman, Jamie Raskin, the attorney, law professor and representative for Maryland’s 8th district who just owned Nigel Farage all the way into the next Parliament.
We’ve written all about it here but just in case you need a reminder …
“To the people of the UK who think this Putin-loving free-speech imposter and Trump sycophant will protect freedom in your country, come on over to America and see what Trump & MAGA are doing to destroy OUR freedom !”
Farage, at last ! getting well and truly roasted

… and it went so badly for the Reform UK leader that he basically did one before Raskin or any of his colleagues could ask any more questions.

And we mention it not only because that’s entertaining enough all by itself, but because Raskin had the magnificent final word. What a shame Farage wasn’t there to hear it.
Jamie Raskin notes that despite Farage saying he had to leave early, he’s currently being interviewed by GB News outside. They’re sending someone to ask him to come back. pic.twitter.com/1SyZBqABMj

Bravo sir!
And these people surely said it best, beginning with @RepRaskin himself.
1.
For a man who fashions himself a free speech martyr, Mr. Farage seems most at home with Putin and the autocrats of the world.
In Congress he testified freely, calling the UK an “authoritarian” regime but left before all Members could question him so he could be on his TV show! https://t.co/20F5lWVHiO

2.
See what Farage didn’t bank on, was the intelligence level of some of these people. He thought it would be like parliament where he could ask his question or say his point and sit down. He wasn’t prepared for then to have actually done their homework on him and his grubby little…

Not quite the PR triumph Farage thought it would be. https://t.co/oaGq2X6Pqp

Brave Sir Nigel ran away
Bravely ran away, away
When Congress reared its ugly head
He bravely turned around and fled
Yes, brave Sir Nigel turned about
And gallantly he chickened out. #farageisatraitor #faragetraitor#FarageHypocrite #NigelFarage https://t.co/nO9nb6q8f5— Jonathan Boote ️ #FBPE (@jonathanboote) September 3, 2025

Bullshitting Congress is not as easy as he thought.

Little man just ran away from the grown ups table.
Classic Farage

This is a jaffa: he gets torn a new one, decides he wants out and say he’s run out of time, leaves, but is seen being interviewed by GBNews so they call him back lolhttps://t.co/CsTvgmGv7U
