Not all heroes wear capes. This Chicago attorney commentating on the ICE protests in real time is a hero with a megaphone
So long as Donald Trump continues to deploy armed forces to quell ICE protests, ICE protests will continue to crop up around the United States. The most effective protests so far have been peaceful and informed.
Robert Held, a Chicago, IL attorney, is getting a lot of love for spearheading that movement in his home state. In this clip, originally shared on TikTok by Don Lemon, he uses a megaphone to basically live-narrate the proceedings in real-time.
WE NEED LAWYERS AT ALL THESE PROTESTS‼️ He was incredibly calm, well spoken & respectful‼️ pic.twitter.com/slj1ckUVKj

A good lawyer can go a long way. Held’s approach is resonating with everyone looking for some calm within the storm. Not all heroes wear capes – they sometimes just need a bullhorn.
Tweeters couldn’t stop shouting praise.

Many of them probably realized the moment they do something, he has an easily winnable case.

Love the shot of all the troopers looking suddenly uncomfortable and unsure
"Wait they want to talk? Is that…is that allowed? I was only trained to escalate to violence as fast as possible, what do we do sarge?"

95% of those officers won’t know what to do because they don’t know the law.

My view is that the right to remain silent and the right to counsel are the most critical immediate protections every demonstrator must grasp. These are the basic safeguards against self-incrimination and coercion during any engagement with authorities.

To sum up –
This is how you do it. You need to have a clear and rational person leading any side so that bad actors and idiots can't act up and become the representation of your cause.
