A Maga woman said Europe was ‘hanging by a thread’ and was brutally owned by an entire continent – 17 transatlantic smackdowns
Time to return now to the transatlantic chasm that appears to widen (and deepen) with every passing day.
And while it’s not the first time we’ve seen a confidently incorrect Maga schooled somewhere into next year (not as far as it might be at this time of year, obviously) it might just be one of the most comprehensive.
It all started when one of her fellow Americans noted on her travels just how done – totally and utterly done – a large part of Europe was with America right now.
This is what I’ve noticed as an American sometimes abroad. Most people are understanding and sympathetic. However things have changed. They are done with the U.S. It’s over. Even if some of us are not nor ever will be-over them.

It caught the eye of Nancy Sullivan – @iluvbkk and self-described ‘ggranddaughter of Civil War Vets; NYPD wife; MAGA’ on Twitter – who had this to say in response.
That might hold water if everything was hunky dory over there but we all know England, France, Belgium, Austria, etc are hanging by threads. They have been overrun and have allowed weak-knees govts give in to the invading forces. It’s just a matter of time before they implode.

And the whole of Europe – well, not the whole of Europe, obviously, just a very large part of it – responded as one, and it’s surely one of today’s most satisfying things.

This is our neighborhood in Paris. Hanging by a thread, huh? Do you even own a passport? https://t.co/EBRwWkdVWe pic.twitter.com/GLLRV17sFf

Spain. It’s terrible here
I’m forced to get healthcare without ever seeing a bill, paid holidays, take paid days off if I need them, don’t need a gun to feel “protected”, I have to buy food free from toxic additives allowed in 3rd world countries like the U.S.
It’s a nightmare

Walp, Nancy got enough engagement out of this malarky to afford that blue check for one more month. If only she earned enough to actually visit some of these places.

Happy new year to you.

Ireland here – will never not be grateful for being born in Europe, an infinite treasure trove of beautiful cities and towns, diverse cuisine, ancient culture and history…and social democracy. And NO GUNS. Do come visit some time x
