In case you’d missed it, there’s a cost of living crisis in the US, with Trump’s disastrous Iran war pushing up gas prices, which has in turn pushed up the price of everything that needs to be transported…so, everything.

Add to that, the economic cost of Trump’s unlawful tariffs – paid by US citizens – and it makes for quite a bleak financial situation. Unless, of course, you’re Donald Trump or one of his family or inner circle.

It would, therefore, be a gross failure to read the room if the president were to boast about the dedication of a 22-foot gold statue of himself at one of his golf resorts.

The bronze statue wrapped in gold leaf was given the go-ahead by Trump and his team, but funded by the $PATRIOT meme coin group, which paid millions to license the statue’s image.

It was dedicated at a ceremony presided over by Pastor Mark Burns of the clearly delusional Pastors for Trump group, at Trump’s Doral resort in Miami.
