Donald Trump was asked about ordinary Americans’ dire financial situation and he handed his political opponents their campaign slogan on a plate

Donald Trump returned to the White House telling everyone if there was one thing he didn’t like, it was getting the United States involved in unnecessary and unwindable wars.

Anyway, about that war on Iran, which is taking its toll on the American (and indeed global) economy to an ever increasing degree.

So it was only natural that Trump should be asked his thoughts on the increasingly dire financial situation of ordinary Americans and what he’s going to do about it.

And his political opponents on the look out for the next campaign slogan could surely not have scripted it any better.
