Break out the tiny violins: fragile male egos are getting bruised by single women buying houses – 19 cutting clapbacks
We cross now to the manosphere, where the delicate little snowflakes are getting their noses pushed out of joint because *checks notes* single women are becoming homeowners.
The Guardian reports that single women are buying more houses than ever before, but also reporting dating problems, with many men getting in a strop over a perceived power shift.
What’s it going to be, gents? Are you going to cry about women leaning on you financially, or about them having a guaranteed roof over their heads?
Bluesky broke out the tiny violins.

"If she has her own house, what will she need me for?" I don't know, dude, maybe be cool and fun to be around and be happy for her success instead being whiny little sad-ass troll about it?

This really just drives home how many men are, instead of wanting to be partners and mates, simply looking to trap another human being for forced domestic labour.

It really sucks how many men think about relationships this way. At no point does it occur to them to become someone who's wanted instead of needed. Manosphere influencers should get the Mussolini treatment.

Oh it’s because I’ve got my own house, not because I’m repellent. Phew!

In a way it's quite sad that these men have been conditioned to so deeply believe that they have nothing to offer except money. They should just be like me and not have any money to offer either.

It's amazing how the manosphere simultaneously whines about gold-diggers then freaks out if a woman in financially independent.
Almost as if… the whole point is to be able to control the women they desire, against their will if necessary.

Women have felt like they need to downplay their competence for the sake of men's egos forever. But it's depressing that it doesn't seem to be going away. Also, don't ever downplay your competence for anyone. There's no long-term positive payoff in that.

I always joked that any guy who wanted to be with me could buy the house next door.
I am still single.
