Since resigning and triggering a by-election, Nigel Farage has spent more time in Clacton than he had in the previous two years of being their actual MP.

His attempt to deflect from the mounting financial scandals surrounding himself and Reform UK is almost certain to result in his re-election, but he’s throwing everything he’s got – or everything his billionaire donors have got – into making sure he gets a good lead over the man with the bin on his head.

As part of his caring cosplay, he’s been sharing videos of thrilled constituents giving him flowers and hugs – like this elderly gentleman.

Someone suggested that the voter might have more of a dog in the fight than they were letting on.

We couldn’t confirm that, but people struggled to accept that anyone not already on the UKIP/Brexit Party/Reform gravy train could possibly idolise the formerly absentee MP for Clacton as much as old Derek.
