Politics economy Fox News propaganda
This Fox News host claimed the American economy is doing great, and the literally unbelievable pieces fell into place after she revealed her source
Fox News has been drilling down into the dregs of society for over three decades now.
The network has steadily eroded any credibility it had when it launched in the late 90s by hiring increasingly angrier screaming heads who do anything for ratings.
Maria Bartiromo was not one of those screaming heads when she joined the network, but times have changed. The once objective business journalist clearly spent too much time inside of Fox News studios, because she’s now making crackpot statements like this:
Maria Bartiromo on Democrats pointing out that the economy is not great: “That’s just propaganda. I mean, look, things are going well. And I think we’re all feeling it. I’ve spoken with a number of CEOs … ” pic.twitter.com/TJf1KvOpnM

All of the data and polling point to a United States that is absolutely furious with the economy. The average American can’t afford groceries or gas or rent.
For Bartiromo to go on TV and trumpet how well the economy is doing based on her conversations with the upper one percent did not go over well on Twitter.

“I spoke to a number of CEOs” is a fascinating way to measure how working families are doing. https://t.co/cYq4fvDXms

There is no equivalent in Democratic politics to what Fox + right wing media does for Trump (and by extension, Republicans). They lie to their audience, constantly, about everything, which creates this alternate world where up is down and black is white. https://t.co/2RxfZlkLyc

Oh, the CEOs are doing well? Thank fucking god. For a second I was worried about the millions of Americans struggling to pay their bills. https://t.co/Gpvy25mKNi

Well, duh. The economy is great for CEOs, billionaires, and oligarchs. That’s who this administration works for.

Imagine using CEOs as a metric to prove that the economy is going well for the American people.

Bartiromo: All the CEOs tell me they can afford groceries on their yacht.

So let me get this straight: CEOs are doing great, therefore the economy is great, and if Americans can’t afford healthcare, housing, food, utilities and other basic necessities, the problem is… messaging?
Got it. Apparently all struggling families need is better propaganda.…
