The bread is made of bread, and you can run it through the slicing machine yourself!’

‘In Japan, when you are at a sit down restaurant, they bring you the bill along with the food. If you order more food they bring you an updated bill. Then when you want to leave, you simply take the bill to the exit of the restaurant. There will either be somebody permanently there (if it is a large and busy restaurant), or somebody will come right over. Then you pay and leave.

No waiting around for somebody to bring you a bill. No waiting for somebody to bring a card machine. Such a small change, but it makes the end of a meal so much simpler and less annoying if you just cannot summon a bill.’
