‘I really think there should be a form of national service, but more like the Italians do it.

‘So it wouldn’t be military, instead people could drive ambulances, work with the National Trust, Forestry Commission, dare I even suggest RNLI or coastguard.

‘I think it would give young people great experience, help the society and the country. Maybe those who want to join the military would be able to opt out…’

‘Make disability access a part of all commercial building planning permission. And, importantly, a group of people with disabilities to point out errors and flaws…buttons to open doors that can’t be reached from a wheelchair, ramps you would take your life in your hands using etc, toilets with no transfer space.

‘Disability access doesn’t rule anyone out, it’s not favouring one group and excluding another. Everyone can use it.’

‘Force new build areas to have youth groups again. At least a play park for the older children.

‘A lot of people on our estate complain about the kids but they have nothing to do – no where to go so get up to trouble. If they just had a few activities to do to pass time I’d be better!’
