A student accidentally submitted an assignment with the tutor’s nickname on it – but there’s a twist

When completing essays in university – or anywhere else – the rule is ‘proofread, proofread and proofread again’, then proofread. An Ohio Theatre student, named Zoey Oxley, submitted a written assignment without following this crucial rule, because if she had, she would have realised she’d forgotten to insert the name of the professor who’d set the work, leaving in its place a disrespectful nickname. This is how the story unfolded.

Zoey received her assignment via an online portal.

She put in a placeholder for the tutor’s name, which she couldn’t remember.

Having submitted the assignment, she realised she hadn’t substituted the correct name, so she wrote an apology.

The professor in question tweeted about the error.

However, Professor Whats His Nuts obviously has a sense of humour, because he did this.

Even though Zoey had obviously got away with the mistake, it didn’t save her from further critique in her Twitter replies.

Like we said – “proofread, proofread and proofread again”.
