11 cutting reactions to a Brexiter saying Boris Johnson will “drain the swamp”
Prominent Leave campaigner Andy Wigmore has graced our web pages on more than one occasion with his questionable life choices, from criticising David Lammy’s work history without googling David Lammy’s work history, to suggesting David Lammy might have eaten Diane Abbott. Can anybody see a pattern here? He recently managed to get himself onto the wrong side of a Twitter roasting with this tweet:
It was you and Blair that politicised our once independent civil service @campbellclaret it’s now filled with dripping wet leftie civil activists, your fault and when @BorisJohnson gets the top job we will drain the swamp, ridding the CS of types like @KimDarroch https://t.co/PXy4U2T0Jr

“Drain the swamp”? Really? He’ll be wearing ‘MUKGA’ baseball caps and blathering on about Jeremy Hunt’s emails before we know it. Accordingly, Twitter commenced to unpick his comment.

These people think that anyone who isn't a sociopath is a "leftie" Just wanting things to be better and to look after each other more is now considered a weakness to sneer at.

Is "draining the swamp" really the best metaphor to use when the last human to make that promise proceeded to fill all positions of authority with even fouler dregs?

Drain swamp, little attention to detail, misogyny, perceived as a bit of an idiot, not to mention the barnet.
