Matt Hancock’s campaign video blends chillingly well with the Silence of the Lambs
Health Secretary Matt Hancock’s campaign trail videos are the gift that keeps on giving. So far, he’s provided plenty of material for Twitter comedians with his supposedly pre-dawn piece out in Yorkshire, his apparent tree hair in another clip, and Russell Howard turning his Euston walking monologue into an encounter with a public nuisance.
Now, video maker Sarah Mackie has captured his essence by mashing up his Euston clip with dialogue from The silence of the Lambs, and it works a little too well for comfort.
Here’s the original.

And here’s Sarah’s slick overdub.
Matt Hancock should totally be considered for a starring role in any future remake of The Silence of the Lambs… pic.twitter.com/8SELhUtBaX

Tweeter, Malcolm Reavell, had a terrifying suggestion.
You could give the plot an extra scary twist by, say, making him a minister with responsibility for healthcare.
