This is what you’d look like if humans were designed to survive car crashes

A new road safety campaign in Australia features a lifelike sculpture of a human, designed to show what we would have to look like in order to survive a car crash.

“Graham” has a large thick skull, no neck, and sacks of air on his chest to act like car airbags. He was created by Melbourne artist Patricia Piccinini in collaboration with a leading trauma surgeon and crash investigation expert.
