This ITV News interview wins our vox pop of the day
ITV’s Paul Brand was out and about at the Stop the War demo in Westminster and came across this woman.
Tonight's Stop the War demo in Westminster contains a mix of many views:
– Those who think bombing never helps
– Those who think the PM should have asked MPs first
– But also, those who think Assad is a 'good man' because 'he's a doctor'. pic.twitter.com/1HrBFg2An5— Paul Brand (@PaulBrandITV) April 16, 2018
Just to stress that this particular protestor was among a group of around 20-30 people I came across who were supporting Assad. There may have been others, but many at the rally were also there to condemn him and all violence, especially the UK/US/French bombing at the weekend.

You missed out the neo-liberal propagandists for war like yourself looking round for outliers to make fun of.

Where have I proposed we go to war? Read my tweets and come back to me.

Making fun of those concerned and protesting against war. Choosing your target to tweet video of. I hope you are proud of yourself.

Nowhere have I ‘made fun’. I tweeted a range of views, made clear that this particular clip doesn’t represent Stop the War, and condemn personal attacks on the protestor in question. Propaganda/fake news would be pretending her viewpoint didn’t exist in the crowd.

I will make fun – I’m pretty sure it’s Terry Jones from Monty Python!
